Tinkerbelle Dwarf Hybrid Lilac
Syringa tinkerbelle
Syringa 'Bailbelle' (Tinkerbelle) is a compact, reblooming dwarf lilac prized for its exceptionally fragrant, soft pink flowers and manageable size. This Descanso hybrid was specifically bred for mild winter climates, requiring significantly less chill hours than traditional lilacs . In spring, it produces abundant, large, conical clusters of single, cross-shaped flowers with curling petals in a delicate, soft pink, emitting a powerful, sweet, classic lilac fragrance . A second, lighter flush of blooms often appears in summer or early fall, extending its season of interest. With its upright, rounded habit and dark green, heart-shaped leaves, it is an outstanding choice for small gardens, mixed borders, foundation plantings, and containers where larger lilacs would be too big.
