String of Pearls
Senecio rowleyanus ‘String of Pearls’
Curio rowleyanus (formerly Senecio rowleyanus) is one of the world's most beloved and iconic trailing succulents, celebrated for its unique, bead-like foliage and elegant cascading stems. This charming evergreen succulent features long, slender, trailing stems adorned with perfectly round, pea-sized, bright green "pearls" that resemble a delicate beaded necklace. In autumn and winter, it produces small, spherical, creamy-white, fuzzy flowers with a subtle, sweet cinnamon-like fragrance, held on short stalks and attractive to pollinators. Exceptionally easy to grow, low-maintenance, and drought-tolerant, it is an outstanding choice for hanging baskets, elevated containers, windowsills, and as a trailing accent in mixed succulent arrangements, both indoors and out in frost-free climates.
