Sierra de San Antonio Sage
Salvia jamensis ‘Sierra de San Antonio’
Salvia jamensis 'Sierra de San Antonio' is a compact, semi-evergreen shrub prized for its unique bicolor flowers, combining soft yellow and peachy-pink tones. This refined sage forms a tidy, mounding shrub of small, narrow, glossy, aromatic, medium green leaves. From summer through fall, it produces an abundance of upright, branching stems bearing dainty, two-lipped, tubular flowers in a distinctive two-tone combination: pale buttery yellow with soft peachy-pink to salmon blushes or tips. The nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to hummingbirds, bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. With its compact, uniform habit, good heat and drought tolerance once established, and its long bloom season, it is an outstanding choice for sunny borders, mass plantings, containers, rock gardens, and cottage gardens.
