Tess of the d'Urbervilles Austin Rose
Rosa ‘Tess of the D’Urbervilles'
Rosa 'Tess of the d'Urbervilles' (Ausmove) is a striking English Climbing Rose from David Austin, celebrated for its large, deeply cupped, bright crimson-red blooms and pleasing Old Rose fragrance. Named after the heroine of Thomas Hardy‘s classic novel, this vigorous yet relatively compact climber produces an abundance of fully double, cup-shaped flowers with a rich, velvety crimson-red color that holds well in the garden. Each bloom contains up to 110 petals and can reach up to 4.5 inches in diameter, unfurling from elegant buds on sturdy stems. The flowers appear in flushes from late spring through to fall, creating a long-lasting, dramatic display. With its large, dark green, semi-glossy foliage and exceptional repeat-flowering ability, it is an outstanding choice for training on pillars, obelisks, walls, or fences, and adds a touch of classic romance to any garden setting.
