Bradford Callery Pear
Pyrus calleryana ‘Bradford’
Pyrus calleryana 'Bradford' is a fast-growing, highly ornamental deciduous tree prized for its spectacular spring flower display and brilliant fall color. This popular landscape specimen forms a dense, symmetrical, pyramidal to rounded crown. In early spring, before the leaves emerge, it is completely covered in a profusion of white, five-petaled flowers that create a stunning, cloud-like effect and attract pollinators. The glossy, dark green, oval leaves follow, turning vibrant shades of red, orange, and purple in autumn. As a fruitless cultivar, it produces no messy fruit. With its tolerance for urban conditions and adaptability to various soils, it is an outstanding choice for street plantings, specimen trees, and large landscapes.
