Holly's White Border Penstemon
Penstemon gloxinioides ‘Holly’s White'
Penstemon 'Holly's White' (syn. Penstemon gloxinioides 'Holly's White') is an elegant, long-blooming perennial prized for its large, trumpet-shaped, pure white flowers with delicate pink blushes. This hybrid penstemon forms an upright, bushy clump of slender, lance-shaped, glossy, medium green leaves. From late spring through summer, and often into early fall, it produces tall, sturdy spikes bearing an abundance of showy, tubular, two-lipped flowers in a crisp, clean white hue, often with subtle pink tinges or throat markings, creating a luminous, eye-catching display that attracts hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Exceptionally drought-tolerant, heat-tolerant, and deer-resistant, it is an outstanding choice for sunny borders, perennial beds, rock gardens, Mediterranean gardens, containers, moonlight gardens, and pollinator gardens.
