Pink Border Penstemon
Penstemon ‘Apple Blossom’
Penstemon 'Apple Blossom' (syn. 'Huntington Pink') is a graceful, long-blooming perennial prized for its soft, pink, trumpet-shaped flowers with delicate white throats. This hybrid penstemon forms an upright, bushy clump of slender, lance-shaped, glossy, medium green leaves. From late spring through summer, and often into early fall, it produces tall, sturdy spikes bearing an abundance of tubular, two-lipped flowers in a lovely, soft, apple-blossom pink hue with pale, creamy-white throats, creating a gentle, romantic display that attracts hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Exceptionally drought-tolerant, heat-tolerant, and deer-resistant, it is an outstanding choice for sunny borders, cottage gardens, perennial beds, rock gardens, containers, and pollinator gardens.
