White Cloud Muhly
Muhlenbergia capillaris ‘White Cloud’
Muhlenbergia capillaris 'White Cloud' is a stunning, clump-forming ornamental grass prized for its spectacular, billowy, pure white flower panicles that create a ethereal, cloud-like display in autumn. This selection of the native Pink Muhly Grass features fine-textured, dark green, hair-like foliage that forms a dense, fountain-like mound. From late summer through fall, it produces enormous, airy, open flower heads of soft, cottony, creamy-white blooms that rise high above the foliage, creating a breathtaking, misty haze when planted in masses. Exceptionally drought-tolerant once established, heat tolerant, and adaptable to a range of well-drained soils, it is an outstanding choice for mass plantings, borders, slopes, meadows, rain gardens, and as a dramatic accent in water-wise and native landscapes.
