Brakelights Red Yucca
Hesperaloe parvifolia ‘Brakelights’
Hesperaloe parviflora 'Brakelights' is a compact, award-winning perennial prized for its exceptionally vivid, bright red flowers and dwarf, clumping habit. A superior selection of the classic Red Yucca, this drought-tolerant succulent forms a dense, spineless rosette of narrow, leathery, gray-green leaves edged with curling white fibers. From late spring through summer, and often into fall, it produces an abundance of branching stalks bearing large, tubular, deep cherry-red to bright red flowers that are highly attractive to hummingbirds . The flower display is notably more abundant and the bloom season longer than the species . Exceptionally heat and cold tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, and low-maintenance, its compact size makes it an outstanding choice for small gardens, xeriscape landscapes, rock gardens, mass plantings, and containers.
