Cranberry Baby Daylily
Hemerocallis ‘Cranberry Baby’
Hemerocallis 'Cranberry Baby' is a charming, dwarf reblooming daylily prized for its profusion of small, rich cranberry-red flowers with contrasting yellow throats. This compact, deciduous perennial forms a tidy clump of strap-like, bright green, grassy foliage that remains attractive throughout the growing season. From early to mid-summer, and again later in the season, it produces an abundance of slender, smooth scapes (flower stems) bearing 2-3 inch wide, lily-shaped blooms in a deep, velvety cranberry-red to wine-red hue with a bright, golden-yellow throat, creating a colorful, long-lasting display that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Exceptionally easy to grow, adaptable to a wide range of conditions, drought-tolerant once established, and deer resistant, it is an outstanding choice for borders, rock gardens, containers, mass plantings, and as a colorful edging plant.
