The Bride Sunrose
Helianthemum nummularium ‘The Bride’
Helianthemum nummularium 'The Bride' is a charming, evergreen ground cover shrub prized for its profusion of delicate, papery white flowers and its dense, low-growing habit. This tough, sun-loving plant forms a spreading mat of small, narrow, dark gray-green leaves that provide a fine-textured backdrop for the abundant blooms. From late spring through summer, it produces an abundance of small, single, white flowers with bright yellow stamens, creating a soft, airy, cloud-like effect that brightens the garden. Exceptionally hardy, drought-tolerant, and deer-resistant, and thriving in poor, rocky soils, it is an outstanding choice for rock gardens, coastal gardens, Mediterranean gardens, slopes, and as a colorful ground cover.
