Miho Wase Satsuma Mandarin
Citrus ‘Miho Wase’, Citrus unshiu
Citrus unshiu 'Miho Wase' is a compact, evergreen citrus tree prized for its exceptionally sweet, seedless fruit and its remarkable cold hardiness. This early-ripening Satsuma selection forms a spreading to rounded, dwarf tree with glossy, dark green, wax-covered leaves and fragrant white blossoms in spring. From autumn into winter, it produces small-to-medium, bright orange mandarins with thin, easy-to-peel skin and juicy, very sweet, low-acid flesh. As one of the hardiest citrus varieties, it is an outstanding choice for home orchards, container growing, and edible landscapes in warm temperate climates.
