Bush Dawn Kangaroo Paw
Anigozanthos ‘Bush Dawn’
Anigozanthos 'Bush Dawn' is a striking, clump-forming evergreen perennial prized for its tall, branching spikes of bright yellow, velvety, tubular flowers that resemble kangaroo paws. A member of the "Bush Gem" series, this cultivar was specifically bred for improved resistance to common leaf and root diseases, making it a more reliable and long-lived choice for the garden . Blooming from late spring through summer, and often into fall in mild climates, the nectar-rich, bright yellow flowers are a magnet for hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators. The flowers rise well above the tidy clump of smooth, sword-like, bright green leaves that grow in a dramatic fan-shaped formation. Native to Australia, it is drought-tolerant, heat-loving, and adaptable to a range of well-drained soils, making it an outstanding choice for sunny borders, rock gardens, coastal plantings, and containers.
